Chamba Red Chillies Chukh

Chamba Chukh as the name suggest Chamba Chukh is a 200yrs Old Traditional Recipe of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh and only made in Chamba Product. Chamba Chukh is among the foods that Himachal Pradesh Govt. is trying to obtain GI tag.

Highly regarded in Chamba regions, this recipe is prepared from locally grown Chitrali chillies in the Chamba Valley. The Red or fresh Green Chillies are Sun-dried and then blended with Citrus extract from a local fruit and Cooked with Spices to form a paste. It is usually prepared in Mustard Oil which is commonly used in Indian cooking
